2012 BIKE MS RIDE

MS BIKE-TO-THE-BAY (Important information below)
June 23rd & 24th, 2012
Bike-to-the-Bay is the premier 2-day bicycling event in the Midwest. The ride begins at the Lucas
County Fairgrounds in Maumee, and takes (2-day) riders along scenic back roads to Port Clinton.
Tour includes fully stocked rest stops every 7-10 miles; and complete medical, safety, bicycle
repair, and police and sheriff support along the route. The last day to register is June 20th..
No day-of-event registrations will be accepted. All riders must be at least 12 years old. Riders
under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult 21 yrs. or older. No trailers,
carriers or tagalongs are permitted. Helmets are required in order to ride in this event.
A registration fee and a minimum $250 pledge per rider are required in order to ride.
Please note that this is a fundraising event, therefore our programs and services depend on your
pledges. Money raised from this event funds research and direct services and programs for over
3,500 people in NW Ohio living with MS. Expenses of this event are underwritten by sponsorship.
REGISTRATION FEE
Registration Fee is $30 (until April 2nd) for 2-day routes
Registration Fee is $50 (April 3rd to June 20th) for 2-day routes
Registration Fee is $10 (until June 20th) for 1-day route

All registered riders receive a Bike-to-the-Bay t-shirt and rider patch, which you will get when you pick
up your final rider numbers (dates for pick ups are in the Rider Manual and on this website). You can
also pick up your map and weekend Rider Itinerary then. Registration fees are non-refundable.
LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS JUNE 20, 2012. NO DAY-OF-EVENT REGISTRATIONS ACCEPTED.
PLEDGES
All registered riders are required to remit a minimum of $250 in pledges (due on or before August 31st.)

PROMISE TO PAY ~NEW THIS YEAR~
- In order to participate in the 2012 MS Bike-to-the-Bay, cyclists are required to raise a minimum of $250.
- If you have not turned in the minimum $250 prior to picking up your final rider number packet in June, you will be asked to sign a Promise to Pay form. The form will require your credit card information. If you’ve already remitted at least $250, prior to packet pick up, then you are not required to sign the form.
- You will have until the pledge deadline (August 31st) to continue to fundraise to meet the minimum $250 goal. After August 31st, your card will be charged for any remaining balance up to $250.
