All registered riders receive a Bike-to-the-Bay t-shirt and rider patch, which you will get when you pick up your final rider numbers (dates for pick ups are in the Rider Manual and on this website). At that time, you can also pick up your map and weekend Rider Intinerary. Important Last day to register is June 23rd. - No day-of-event registrations will be accepted. All riders must be at least 12 years old. Riders under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult at least 21 yrs of age. No trailers, carriers or tagalongs permitted. Helmets are required in order to ride in this event.

Mileage Route Options
The event offers four different mileage route options: 50, 75, and 100 miles per day (all 2-day routes); and the (Saturday only) 1-day route which is approximately 35 miles. All riders begin at the Lucas County Fairgrounds, and must be on the route no later than 8:45 am on Saturday morning. Everyone follows the same basic route, with a few variations depending on which mileage you choose. The following is a brief explanation of the routes.

*1-DAY RIDE (35 miles - Saturday ONLY)

35 Mile Riders begin at the Lucas County Fairgrounds and pedal to the lunch stop in Pemberville. After enjoying lunch, the 1-Day riders board buses (truck follows carrying bikes) and ride the bus back to the Fairgrounds where their tour ends. Please note that 1-Day riders will not be allowed on the route beyond the lunch stop; therefore they will not go all the way to Port Clinton. If you want to ride all the way into Port Clinton on Saturday, you must register for one of the 2-Day routes even if you only plan to ride on Saturday. We will not have buses available to take you back to the Fairgrounds on Saturday, if you pass the lunch stop. So you must arrange your own transportation back (on Saturday)
IMPORTANT: Riders doing the 1-day route should park in the designated area marked “35 mile parking” on Saturday morning at the fairgrounds, in order not to be blocked in by 2-day riders.

*2-DAY RIDE (50, 75, or 100 miles each day)

50 Mile Riders - will pedal to the Gibsonburg rest stop on Saturday (just after the lunch stop) and board buses (trucks follow carrying bikes) which will then take them into Port Clinton to Saturday’s finish. On Sunday, 50-mile riders will board buses at Port Clinton High School by 8:30 am (trucks follow carrying bikes) and will be driven to the Woodville rest stop where they will join the route.

75 Mile Riders - will pedal the entire route both days and do not need to board buses.

100 Mile Riders - will pedal the entire route both days (with an additional 25 miles added each day) The tour includes catered lunches, and several rest stops along the way, all fully stocked with snacks and beverages.  There is also complete medical, safety, and bicycle repair support along the well-marked routes, as well as SAG support vehicles that ride along the tour to assist riders.

All riders are following the same basic route both days, with some variations depending on mileage. Maps will be available, but not needed. Our route is well marked with painted street arrows and signs.

You've always been up for a challenge. And meeting this one can make a world of difference. This event will challenge you and reward you like no other cycling event.
